The Gifford Middle School Band provides an outstanding musical experience for more than 230 students in grades 6 through 8. In the school’s history, the band has earned statewide, regional and national recognition for musical excellence by consistently earning superior ratings at the FBA Music Performance Assessments and has performed at the University of Florida, Stetson University, Florida Southern College, the University of Georgia, and the Music For All National Middle School Music Festival, and the Florida Music Educator’s Association Conference in Tampa, Florida.
As district funding for programs such as ours continues to decline, we need financial support from members and businesses of our community. School arts programs are required to cover many, if not all, of their expenses without the school district’s assistance.

The purpose of the Sponsorship Program is to provide an opportunity for individuals and businesses to partner with the Gifford Middle School Band Parents Association (GMSBPA) in support of the GMS Band Program. The GMSBPA is a non-profit organization whose sole purpose is providing financial and volunteer support for the Gifford Middle School Band.
Your sponsorship donation will help the student you are sponsoring pay for their band related expenses and fees. 50% of your donation goes directly to the specified band student’s account to utilize for trips, instrument rentals, and other various band related expenses. Your sponsorship will also help the entire band program by providing financial support to the GMSBPA for necessary musical equipment, instrument repairs, instructional materials such as music to learn and perform, guest clinicians both local and state-wide, concert/festival expenses, uniform expenses, transportation expenses, and meaningful enrichment activities that enhance the student’s musical experience.

GMS Bands recognizes several levels of sponsor participation. The levels of recognition by the band are as listed below:
Band Fan ($500 & up) - Sponsor name in all concert programs, promotional poster at concert, advertisement and web address link on GMS Band Website, and Embroidered Band Polo (Name and “Band Fan” included)
Platinum ($300-$499) – Sponsor name in all concert programs, promotional poster at concert, advertisement and web address link on GMS Band Website.
Gold ($100-$299) – Sponsor name in all concert programs, promotional poster at concerts, and advertisement on GMS Band Website.
Silver Level ($25-99) - Sponsor name in all concert programs and promotional poster at concerts.
Bronze ($25-$99) – Sponsor name in all concert programs.
